What do ye think is better for getting fitter?Cycling or Running.or maybe both?

I also want to build up more strength in my legs.Can i do this by cycling a lot?

More fit,definitely running. Even though there is some resistance when cycling,it doesn't compare to your legs moving your body over distance.Running works more muscles and gets your heart rate up high.

For stronger legs,do weights like leg presses and squats,that will toughen your legs way more and faster than cycling ever will. Alot of the muscles that are used when you cycle or run are small and weak ones.
