Hughes got knocked in the nuts twice in less than a minute.......Then got his ass handed to him in the 2nd round. Explain how that is a classic fight? Great fight for canadian viewers, shitty for the people that paid for it

hughes got kicked in the nuts only once. Second time it hit his leg and he abmitted to it. I agree that it was entertaining while it lasted but way too one sided matt got what was coming to him he was too arrogant.

I was going to post this on saturday but didn't think many people here cared about MMA.

It was a good fight, lots of action and not just circling. two kicks to the groin, they couldn't have hurt that bad because they wear jock straps but it wasn't done on purpose. Matt Hughes got too cocky and wanted to stand up with GSP which was an idiotic decision. Superman punch looks cool as always, almost ended the fight in the first round. The kick to the head reminded me of the win by Crocop over Wanderlei Silva during the Pride Openweight GP.

Hughes was getting too arrogant, he tried to get into GSP's head with those smiles during the fight like none of the hits hurt him. There will probably be a rematch in the future, but lets hope it doesn't turn into a Liddel vs Couture again where they fight 5 times or some shit.

i thought it was a very entertaining fight...but of course i have a man crush on GSP.
Hughes did try to take him down, but GSP stuffed the attemps.
I don't see any body, besides BJ Penn, even having a chance of take the belt away from him.

Fuck am I pround of GSP ,of course becaue I'm from Canada (eh?). I really don't care that Matt Hughes got kicked in the nuts twice,I watch alot of UFC and I've seen that happen tons of times with the ref not even noticing.It's not like dude did it on purpose. I think Matt Hughes didn't expect him to beat him and if they fight again it will be alot different because he'll realize he's not immortal.I guarantee there will be atleast one more match and if Matt Hughes wins,there will be another rematch.

2 times too many. Just like Tito vs Shamrock, we hardly see these kinds of fights (constant rematches) in other places like Pride FC. It gets boring because one is going to always be dominate. If Hughes wants a rematch he should work his way up again and let the next in line (in this case, Matt Serra) get a chance at the belt.

Pride has rematches too (wanderlei vs. jackson, for example), it makes things interesting.

Matt Hughes is a bitch! He got what was coming to him, he was so focused on trying to knock people out his last couple of fights ( Penn and GSP) that he has been totally dominated. The Penn fight he got lucky that he got him to the ground and the ref stopped it.

GSP is the man, Hughes didn't even know it was a kick that knocked his ass out untill he saw the replay. I agree that Serra will get eaten alive.
