Anyone have any good forearm exercises? Because of my retarded genes I find it hard to develop them. I know you inderictly work them out by doing whole host of exercises and I know about wrist curls..but

read this the other day

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/aaron3.htm

which talks of wrist curls being useless to an extent.

http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1608/is_8_18/ai_89389718

but then u get stuff like that, which promotes them.

SO what really is the best forearm exercise, and which of the two above articles is closer the truth?

wrist curls DO work really well, but don't try to go too heavy.I learned the hard way,i was using heavy weight andi fucked up my wrists.Anytime i'd try to lift a weight,id get this sharp pain going from my wrists all the way up to biceps.I had to take a little time off to recover.

I don't know what the first guy is going on about.Everybody in the whole world does wrist curls for forearms. If what he said is true, then why is it that after doing wrist curls my forearms are so fuckin tight and hard as steel? Try doing wrist curls and tell me how your forearms feel afterwards.

Well, wrist curls are pretty much the only thing u can do, there aren't really many exercices for the forearm. However, like Mac said, be careful with the weight you put on, do many reps and less weight (15-25 reps a set in my opinion).

Interesting you say that. After I work out my biceps, I usually have to wait like 5 days to do it again because I get this sharp pain that goes from the wrist to the elbow. It's like it goes through my bone. Does that mean I should use less weights? I mean, the way I see it, if I can lift it 10-12 times, then I should lift that weight. NO? I'm speaking about bicep curls for example.

First of all make sure you warm up Sofi! Bend your wrist in all direction, then do light weight set, maybe you need more then one warm up set.

looks like your wrists are weak.i suggest you get wrist supports when you lift, but keep the same weight .once you build up your wrists, you can lift without the support

Good advice. I actually never really take the time to warm up.

I'll do what menace said and go from there. I'm kind of reluctant when it comes to that wrist support thing lol.

Oh, then you probably can get rid of your problem with doin some warm up. When people suggest 3 sets - 12 reps or something, there is no warm up set included, cause it doesn't count, it's just warm up. But you always should do one warm up set with 25 reps (or how many it takes for you to feel ready). If I say I do 3 sets, I most likley will do 4 sets, but like is said, I don't count the warm up set - but that doesn't mean it's not important! If that doesn't help, you can still get one of those wrist supporters.

peace

P.S: Let me know if my advice helped, just curious.

^wtf is dat?

is no one really gonna make a jerking off joke? :(

lol.. i was gonna make one too but i figured somone already did:(

That powerball works by holding it in your hand and rotating your wrist to make the mechanism inside spin, you have to keep a constant rythym otherwise it wont work..

(that kinda sounds like jerking off right??)
