A fish that has a pattern resembling a human face on its body was found in a pond in Chongju, South Korea, according to a Local 6 News report.

The news of a fish with a human face spread to South Korea through the Internet after a Japanese sports tabloid reported on the unusual fish. A South Korean newspaper then carried an article about the fish in South Korea.

The fish is the result of artificial insemination between a carp and ayu sweetfish.

As the fish grew larger, the design on the fish reportedly changed to look more like the face of a human being.

Rare markings on a fish are considered a good omen in some Asian countries, according to a report.

lol. That's heaps funny. But what I find weirder is that they say "the fish is the result of artificial insemination between a carp and ayu sweetfish." Why would they artificially inseminate a fish? Maybe they accidentally put in human semen.... hence the face thing.

But, seriously, its just random markings. The recognative system in our brain uses the majority of its capacity to recognize faces, we depend on recognizing faces from an infant stage. Its what our society and human nature is based on. So often our brain tries to see a familar shape in something thats not their, thats how come we convince ourselves we see faces in such things.

Ermmm... I was actually leaning towards why people see a face on the moon... but ermm.... yeahh... Porche... I think thats just cause well... It actually looks like a frog hehe. I was talking about human recognition of faces, like babies develop it early on to recognize their parents. The face is the first thing we ever learn.

True. Which is why little kids' drawing as considered so accurate in terms of the way they perceive the world. Adults have huge arms and legs...because as a child thats all you see - huge legs towering above you and long arms stretching towards you. As well as huge faces with massive eyes - because thats what they see, big faces coming at them and the most dominant feature being the eyes and thus they are exaggerated....I'm getting off topic though...back to froggy porsches...I mean....fish faces....

Fish are very healthy. They are an excellent source of many minerals and vitamins. they also contain Oil which helps the devlopmetn of brains in children.

there have actually been studies on children where there academic ability has improved significantly after a course of omega 6 oil which comes from fish. there all round brain activity saw an improvement
