Technology Firefox 3

Before I updated my browser, if I was on a site that had videos (like youtube for example) I used to be able to download the video straight to my Realplayer library. Like when I put my mouse over the video screen a blue box popped up in the top right hand corner that I could just click on.

Anyone know how I can get back to having this simple function?

download the extension "download video".

you should be able to get it from the mozilla firefox homepage under extensions.

The one I had before was like a proper Real Player function. Yes it did dowload them straight to my Real Player library with one click.

Maybe it's a function of Real Player that I have that is not compatible with FF3

Turns out, I had the Realplayer Record Plugin 1.0 that isn't compatible with Firefox 3
The developer of the plugin would normally provide an update that functions with FF3 some time soon. A few of the plugins I had previously are not supported at the moments, but two update recently.
