I was inspired by kryogenikz for building my own system.I went out and purchased everything. I know it's kinda expensive from retailers, but I'm not a very patient person ordering from the internet then waiting for delivery.Plus ive ordered computer stuff before off the net,and customs held them for a few weeks and i had to pay as much as they were worth to get it sent to my house. They even wanted proof that i bought them so i had to fax them the websites and my order number.
Anyways I just finished putting it all together. I decided to go with the Pentium 4 560J.It's a 3.6Ghz processor. I decided to overclock it to 4.1Ghz.Temperature is running at 35 so thats pretty fuckin good.I have 12 fans in there. I was gonna get the 3.0Ghz and overclock to 4.1Ghz but then i needed some pretty freakin good cooling, and price difference wouldnt have been that much.Plus the 3Ghz chip wouldnt be stable at 4.1Ghz, so 3.6Ghz to 4.1Ghz isnt too much of a jump.Everything is stable.I've ran some pretty intense stuff and it seems totally fine, and the most important tihng, temp is stable.
Hyperthreading running full speed so thats 4.1Ghz X 2
-Went with the ASUS P5G motherboard.
-4GB ram
-went with the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX.This card is AMAZING.its pci express too .

-HP DVD RW drive
-creative audigy 4 pro sound card
-samsung 19" LCD monitor
here are the prices (since my currency is canadian dollars,i have converted a rough U.S dollar estimate so you guys dont get confused)

NVIDIA card $610
power supply + fans $180
P4 CPU $740
Hard drive $260

kinda expensive but this system will last a long time before i need to upgrade.i figured,if i get a pc that has the standard specs,a year down the road,im gonna have to buy a new one cuz it will be too slow.I guess its cheaper in the long run this way.
this thing is running as fast as lightning.ive never seen anything like it.graphics are unbelievable.sound is just crisp.
