I have entered the above with a few friends, and friends of friends. Several are American, which obviously helps. I know fuck all and couldn't name any NFL players. Anyone want to help me out?

^^^ you're list is pretty good.
Generally Yahoo's list in football is pretty solid at draft time,
then during the season is when u really gotta pick up backups when players get hurt.

i don't follow the rookies too much until i actualyl see them play, ( i dont watch college football)

but Spiller is a good bet for sure, he's on the shitty Buffalo Bills... but i wouldnt reach for him, use him as ure 3rd option RB i guess....

TE's are good by ranking, there shouldnt be any surprises there...

same with Defense, maybe watch out for chicago as a sleeper, they werent too good last year, but picked up peppers and urlacher is back....

Every league must wait until after the draft so that the new rookies can be put on to their respective teams. In fact, most leagues wait until the start of pre-season or later to begin since players are injured, change teams, get cut, etc... Yahoo has a decent free game as does ESPN. But honestly there are literally hundreds of free games out there. The best choice though, is to get a group of friends, pay a few bucks as an entry fee and compete against one another in your own league. There are a lot of sites out there that will keep your stats for you for free or for a nominal cost depending on how many bells and whistles you want. That way, you will enjoy the league more, the likelihood of someone bailing on the league is low since you all know one another and you are competing with friends.
