Rules, for those who haven't played before
(rules have changed slightly from last season):
You have a squad of 15, but you pick 11 to play each week. If a player doesn't take part in a match then they are automatically replaced by one of your substitutes. If a Goalkeeper doesn't play, he will be replaced by the substitute Goalkeeper. Outfield players will be replaced by one of the three outfield substitutes based on their order on the bench.
Your squad must consist of:
2 Goalkeepers
5 Defenders
5 Midfielders
3 Forwards
Your starting 11 each week must consist of:
1 Goalkeeper
3-5 Defenders
2-5 Midfielders
1-3 Strikers
One player must be designated as Captain. His point tally will be doubled.
Each week you can make 1 transfers without cost. Each additional transfer after that will cost 4 points.
Points are awarded in the following ways:
All players
1 point for playing any part in a game.
plus 1 point for playing 60 minutes or more
3 points for a goal assist
1, 2 or 3 bonus points for playing well (based on the
Actim Index
-1 point for a yellow card
-3 points for a red card (includes points from any yellow cards)
-2 points for missing a penalty
Goalkeepers
4 points for keeping a clean sheet (must play 60 minutes)*
1 point for every 3 saves made
6 points for scoring a goal
5 points for saving a penalty
-1 point for every goal conceded
Defenders
4 points for keeping a clean sheet (must play 60 minutes)*
6 points for scoring a goal
-1 point for every goal conceded
Midfielders
5 points for scoring a goal
1 points for keeping a clean sheet (must play 60 minutes)*
Forwards
4 points for scoring a goal
*Clean sheet bonuses only refer to goals conceded while the player is playing. For example, if Chelsea midfielder Arjen Robben plays for 60 without conceding and then is substituted, and Chelsea go on to concede a goal
