Just saw this on Sky Sports News, and seems there is a division on wheter Scolari should get the job because he isn't English.

But does it really matter if he's not English?

The argument is that he won't have the passion that an English manager would have.

If there was an English manager with Champion's League experience doing a good job with a big club, I'd agree that he should get the job above a foreign manager. There's not, so it's the FA's job to get the best manager they can.

I think Big Phil would make a great England manager. Ideally, as said somewhere above, I'd give the job to an Englishmen with experience and a great high profile manaerial record. But none of the current English candidates have that. Passion counts for nothing if you're useless.

Media Pressure - The guy has been in charge of Brazil for gods sake .

To be honest, there would have been a lot of pressure on him. Especially as a foreign manager, if he'd taken them to Euro '08 and not done well, the fans would have been calling for his head.

Your right i guess - The job is a serious health hazard , he probably saw the media circus and thought - no fucking way .
