An individuals like this makes situations worse for interracial, cultural relations. And just overall worse for the Black community. They emphasize racial differences rather than similarities. Creating hate and not enough love. It saddens me.

I can name many of our of so-called community leaders who teach a similar philosophy, with followers only to be lead into the dark bliss abyss of ignorance.

I find really wierd. Why do we always see the people who only want to bring more hate and segregation into their own communities speaking, seen on TV, working hard to get their message out? Where are the individuals who want to fight this? Why don't I ever see them? Do they even exist anymore? Was MLK the last one? I hope not.

where are the individuals that fight that type of ignorant shit? Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, he wrote a great book called "Scam", check it out. its a good read not too long either. He fights against this type of ignorance. One of the things i like about him is he says that when he was younger he would buy into this type of hate speech. then one day he just realized how it doesnt make any sense. check out his book and who he is. you might like him.

Am I supposed to believe that every single White person I come in contact with wants to kill me? That is the most ignorant statement I heard in a looooong time.

A lot of Black Americans are looking for a leader in the Black community. Someone to come along and make things "better." It's up to US to make things better as a whole. Not individually in our own communities. As a nation, we're only as strong as the weakest link. And if this is the guy who the Black communities are trying to turn to for a leader....the people in the communities are going to be more confused and messed up than ever.

My feelings about Peterson is trivial. He means well, but there is too much that taints his solutions. I'll take your word on it and check out Scam tho.

i see your point but what i got from the book is not the islam is evil but the Nation of Islam is evil due to their leaders. he never said anything negative about islam itself

I wasn't referring to the book, I was referring to other statements he's made. Like this. He might speak out against black supremacism, but he's hardly a pillar of tolerance.
