Technology DSL set up problem.

my friend wanted to set up her DSL shit (installation), and we were on last step ''account set up'. we passed previous 3 step, but that shit 'account setup' when they sayin 'configuration and please wait' and that round thing was spinning and that shit was spitting for ever, so, basically last step 'account setup' we couldnt finish casuee it got us waiting forever and i just stoped waiting. i was wondering what could be the problem, how long more can we wait, it got us waiting forever and never finished that last step 'account setup'

when i installed my DSL and i got to that ''account setup' i passed that step easly but for my friends, it wont pass that last step.
BTW, my friend has HP loptop.

what could be the problem,

ok, if i call mechanics and they come over and what do you think they go do? same thing im tryin to do. im stuck on last step 'account setup' and it wont pass that step, it keeps sayin wait...
its not like when mechanics come over they gonna jump in the software and change stuff.

i dont know, i might be wrong but it kinda doesnt makes send callin mechanics, i only have to pay them.

What you would have to do is call Verizon and get help from one of the people that work there. There number is 1-800-567-6789. I experienced the same problem with account setup yesterday also, but the problem with me was the username and password.

He probably put a username and password in that was wrong 3 times. Once you get it wrong 3 times you have to start all over again, so check up on that. Either that or something is wrong with the startup disk- IT COULD BE SCRATCHED or it could just be the modem.

I know you guys dieying to hear the answer. so here it is. I just came back from my friends house and we got it done.
i had to call them up and have them somehow i really dont know how fix from there.the operator asked to me to do some things from my computer, go to site using internet explorer and shit.

yeA, DSL work now. that problem is solved. problem is now we can not open a web site, it taking forever and then et the end it nevers open, it says 'page can not be displyed'. it opens up half way through and then gets stuck for some time and then opens up sayin 'page can not be displyed'. i called them customers and they told me it might be problem with spy ware, they said i might have a lot of that shit or might have viruse on it so they told me to take the loptop to local technician and have them cleaned make sure all spy ware shit is cleaned. and i did took to local technician and they told me they gonna do 'system restore' basically they'll reinstall all the windows and programs all over so prevent that problem. will that solution solve the problem by doin 'system restore' and reinstalling everythin all over?

i tried to get dsl and then i couldn't use my internet and tha dsl wouldn't work and my computer was slower than ever. i couldn't do anything and my computer crashed because of it and we could do nothing to fix it nor could i delete it and go back to how it was before.
