Technology Does anybody use eMule???

#1
Im a newbie, I just downloaded it yesterday and I some stuff that Ive been lookin all over for, but I have some problems?

Why does most of the stuff I try to download has status "waiting"? And the stuff that I try to download have a blue bar and 100% completed sources, indicating that its definately available.

So far, Ive only been able to download one thing, but is 1.63GM. I left my computer running overnight and so far I only have 172MB of it. Is there any way to speed up a download?

I have LowID and theres nothing I can do to get Hi ID. Ive went to there forum, seen their guides and FAQ, but I just dont see any solutions that apply to me. Like everybody over there has Window XP and shit. But I have Windows ME and DSL.

I'm not a fan of eDonkey. I've never been able to get fast downloads, but I am on a LAN which lowers my ID.

To be honest, I'd suggest sticking to p2p/IRC/BitTorrent.

i love emule, but the thing with it is , you have to be patient.

emule has alot of older files than new files, so its good for that.

yeah sometimes i have to wait days for a download to even start,or finish downloading

i get HI ID even though i am on LAN, but i had to change something in my router configuration to get it to do that.

go into your routher config, and look for something called DMZ, enable it,and u have to giev it your LAN ip address, so it would be something like 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.100 or shit like that,u can check what it is in ur router config somewhere.

after that go to emule, and go somewhere in the configurations, then choose TEST PORT, theres two of there so u have to do them both. then it should give u hi id.

hope it helps
