Damn i always thought oscar would win this fight but what a performance! After the fight oscar said he aint to sure what he's gonna do next, well i do, KO Floyd mayweather! Oscar says if he does fight on it's really got to be a glory fight, well you aint gonna get any more glory than beating the no 1 fighter in the world. For me oscar hit's way to hard for mayweather, time will tell though.

Oh yeah i really could'nt see Ricky hatton beating oscar either, i could see ricky maybe beating mayweather, but not oscar.

What a great way for oscar to end an outstanding career, than to beat two of the best fighters in the world today! I remember watching oscar win his first world title back in 94 i think it was.

Oscar looked good but him beat Mayweather... no. Mayweather is a boxer he isnt gonna come out throwing any type of punch leaving himself open every second like Mayorga did. If they did fight which I doubt because Oscar seems he only wants to fight guys he thinks he can beat. Like he said with Mayorga, he wants to go out as a champ not an embarrassment like Hopkins threw at him.

Superb fight , im glad Oscar kicked his arrogant ass , another fool dragging boxing into the dirt . Oscar should retire now where he belongs - on top .

^But hes not on top. Maybe if he unified the belts, but there are people he cant beat, that isnt being on top. Its like he beat the worst of the best, that aint being on top.

Oscar owned that big mouth fool. He's been a great fighter over the years. Think he should retire now though, but I hear there's talk of one last fight.

the only reason neither will be legends, and both be considered second best....Bernard Hopkins.

What are you talking about:confused: Hopkins is a middle weight! he has been fighting at that weight his whole career i belive, if not he has been at that weight since atleast 92. Oscar started at featherweight.

Oscar has been one of if not the greatest fighters of the modern era! he's had a couple of decisions go against him, Shane mosley second fight and possibly the felix trinidad fight, but he's also lost a couple but got the decision, pernell whitaker, ike quartey and also that german middle weight, i forget his name. but regardless he's been great.

Oscar should cement his career by whiping mayweather then one last fight against hatton! i think he would beat both these guys.

I'm talking about Oscar not being able to beat Hopkins.

But the one fight I really do want to see is him and Mayweather go at it. That would be an incredible fight, much tougher than Mayorga of course.

Yeah i know, but there is no disgrace in getting beat to a much bigger man! Oscar moved up in weight and tried to make history but failed. If you want to say oscar is second best you would have been better saying Trinidad or mosely.

Yeah this would be a great fight, i really could'nt see mayweather beating oscar! For me oscar punches way to hard for floyd. Floyd has never really had his chin checked yet, oscar has the skills to test his chin.

Mayorga had no defense. Of course DLH looked great when you have a punching bag infront of you. I also think that DLH would destroy Mayweather. He is too strong and too big.

Antonio Margarito is the most ducked man in boxing. I think he would beat both DLH and Mayweather.

If the fight did happen then De La Hoya would have to find a new trainer to have for it as his current one is mayweathers father, who has made it clear he will have no part in it. Shouldn't be a problem for De La Hoya who is well seasoned and could handle a trainer change no problem.
As for the result if that fight happens, It's the same as anybody with punching power and abilty going up against mayweather, if they don't let him find his range and ponce about the ring they have a strong chance of knocking him out. Judah was a prime example of this although he kept on him for only about 3 rounds lol. I am not convinced by mayweather yet. Floyd should accept that there is one fighter standing in the way of his supremecy at this time, and that man comes from manchester. :p
