i was wondering if there is any way for me to connect my computer to the TV.
what i mean is that i have a bus load of .avi movies and i cant play them on the DVD player and the only way i can watch them is on the computer. my question is that is there a method of somehow connect the monitor to the TV so i can play the .avi movies on my computer but watch it on the TV.

check your graphics card for a smallish round black output...thes an svideo out whichy can be connected to most TV's

yeah you need an output on your video card. you can buy these at some computer stores. they have s-video or rf-out,and they also have the A/V output cards.

tru. i checked the back of my comp i have the black thing. and on the back of the TV theres s-video thing. tomorrow im going to go to bestbuy and ask the guy and he'll show me.

And S-video lead won't give you sound. So either buy an audio lead and plug into your TV, or you'll have to use your P.C speakers.

ya so i went to bestbuy today and i got a bunch of shit. i got the s-video cable but i had to get a little fuckin adaptor to put on the end because the jack on the back of my computer is different. then for the audio cable, it was too short so he told me to get these 2 other adapters (which were the wrong ones) so i can connect another wire (which i dont have) to the sound card. so im going back to bestbuy and return that shit and start from scratch again. spent $80 on those 3 things. im going to return it because my mom knows of another store which sells these things for cheaper. if not that, then probably check radio shak.

alrite. i went to bestbuy and returned everything. now i got the everything i need from radio shack. i connected everything and all the wires but nothing is happening. is there something i should be doin that im not doing?

- are you sure that one end goes into the little black hole near where the monitor plugs in? i have 2 of them. one says "MIC IN" and the other says "SPK"
'mic in' im guessing is for a microphone
'spk' seems like 'speakers' to me.
maybe im wrong tho
