WWE headquarters has been very busy as the company continues to reach out to former stars. Just this past week, both Bret "The Hitman'' Hart and "The American Dream'' Dusty Rhodes were seen heading for meetings with the McMahons. According to WWE, the company and Hart have taken the first step toward burying the hatchet left from the infamous 1997 Survivor Series swerve with Shawn Michaels in Montreal and soon will release a DVD detailing Hart's career.

We hear Hart would not give his OK for the DVD project unless he received full veto power on any of the material. Don't be too surprised to see him headline the Hall of Fame ceremony next year.

As for Rhodes, he was in Stamford for a meeting with Stephanie McMahon to discuss a wide range of opportunities, possibly even a spot on the booking team.

AROUND THE RING: Brock Lesnar has turned down the WWE's most recent offer and will stay out of wrestling. This could be a ploy by WWE to make his return a bigger surprise.

It was a sight many fans never thought they would see again, until now. Bret Hart and Vince McMahon met face to face today before shooting began for the upcoming DVD chronicling the Hit Man's career.

During shooting, McMahon and Hart both talked about Bret's beginnings, SummerSlam 1992, the historic Owen Hart-Bret Hart rivalry, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the infamous Montreal incident, Bret's jump to WCW and much more.

Afterwards, the Hit Man said he was "happy with how everything went today," regarding the Bret Hart-WWE joint production.
