boycotting aruba?

there has been a call from the gov. of alabama to boycott aruba due to the whole holloway case.

just wondering, how do people feel about this?

i dont feel its a good idea to hurt the whole island just because of a few bad apples. but on the other hand, the holloway family is desperate and has lost faith in the aruban police and the govt. the family is lost and doesnt really know what else to do. they have ran out of options. not to mention they are madder than all hell.

do you thinks its fair? should people boycott the little island of aruba? should those 3 boys be re-arrested and charged for admitting they raped her?

ill still go if i could... one things for sure

i hate it when the family of the victim... tries to act as if the girl wasnt atleast at some fault... shes drinkin with 3 guys she doesnt know... and then leaves with them...

i feel sorry for the mother/family.. but people need to start being realistic in this world and just realize when its known that she left with these 3 guys she was basically askin for somthing bad to happen

better judgement was definatly needed that night.. especially in a different country

i think i would still go too.

but i dont know how much blame can really go toward natalle because she was very intoxicated when she got in the car. if she wasnt big on drinking, then those shots of 151 she was being given would have her more fucked up then she has ever been in her life. she probably didnt even now her own name. she may not have known what 151 was.

i agree better judgement should have been used. i wonder about her so called friends. where the hell were they? how could they just forget about their friend like that?

Boycott? No way. This type of thing happens a lot more than we know (although not that much!), it's just that certain people get media coverage and others don't.

I definately feel for the family but honestly they need to let her go. It's sad that their daughter's life has turned into a cash cow for tabloids and cable news. If I died that way I would never want attention like this. Imagine how her friends must feel seeing her picture all over the news and all the stores they go into. That's gotta hurt.

I dont agree with the boycott. Any update on this case? I have not been watching TV lately.
its still in the news everyday. i'm glad that certain members of the media are keeping the story alive because aruba fucked the case over so bad. they really should have just let the fbi come in and help or something. there is still talk that the three boys may be arrested again. they are basically starting over with the investigation. now they want to talk to natelles friends back home in the states.

anyone that has ever learned anything about body language can tell that from the videos of the dutch boys father, the dutch boy, and one of the brothers, that they have something to hide. one of the brother admitted to rapping her. but no charges against him. that pretty fucked up.

there is still some talk that she might be alive. dr phil is convinced she was sold into a sex slave market. there really isnt much evidence for that.

anyone think she might still be alive? it would be amazing if she is. but she wouldnt first american sold into the sex slave trade.

Its a sad case and has been mishandled by the authorities, but boycotting the whole island is truly, truly stupid and ignorant.

Yeah, I watched Nancy Grace every day for months following this case. The Aruban police did a bad job from the start. The private investigator the family hired months later did more in a week than the Auruban police did for in months. The laws are too messed up there. The three guys should still be in jail regardless of the body. They did the shit for sure. Vandersloots dad is for sure crooked as hell. The sex slave shit is pure bullshit. She has been dead since that night at the beach. I just wanted her body to be found for the parents.

aruba is orientated on america... it depends on the tourism..
if u boycot aruba , a lot of antillians will get even poorer than they already are since they are no longer a member of the kingdom of the netherlands... more drugs-problems will rise, ppl cant feed themselves... boycotting will not do america good, but also not aruba. just cuz 1 guy kidnapped an american, the whole country needs to be boycotted? aruba has been down for america and this is how u repay them? thats dumb...

its more than one guy. its could be up to 4 or 5 people directly involved. 3 that we know of for sure.

i agree it will fuck aruba up bad, but i would put more blame on the aruban govt for what happens to their country for not giving a fuck. the guy that was prime minaster or president of aruba, whatever, used beth twitty (natalles mom) as a tool to help him right before an election. thats pretty fucked up. he promised her that he would do whatever it takes to find her daughter. he lied to her face. in front of news cameras.

"it's more than one guy- it's up to 4 or 5"
LMAO

come on, dont punish the honest ppl ...
besides, the government isnt that bad. if u wanna talk about that, then all countries should boycot america right now, cuz there's the biggest corruption in the universe.

whats so funny about what i said? it is more than three guys involved. dont punish the honest ppl? that doesnt even make sense.does that even apply to this? did you laugh at what i said after you took it out of context?

do you know how many countries would be fucked if they boycotted america? and if you want to say this country is corrupt, at least give some examples. all your doing is making you sellf sound like one of those people that are believe everything they are told in biased media.

look,
there are hundreds of kidnappings every day and thousands of deaths in the streets year after year in america.
now one kidnapping took place and just because it was an AMERICAN OUTSIDE AMERICA -- aruba needs to be boycotted?? ppl take things out of proportion....
if a group of 5 americans kidnap a tourist... (dont tell me this has never happend before cuz i will prove u wrong) .. they dont go saying "let's boycot america"...

aruba is an ally of the united states, it's the new cuba (before castro)... so if u still wanna have a sunny vacation on this beautiful island, dont be treathing it like dirt or some commie will make u sorry. :D (i hope :D)

but dont you think that if the police would have actually done something with the investigation that the parents would never have felt the need to resort to this action?

but first take a pill with a big "V" on it and have a drink

i honestly have heard about americans kidnapping a tourist but i wouldnt mind reading an article about it if you dont have one
