Our friend Blue Meanie has been sidelined by a serious illness that required surgery to remove a portion of his left lung.
Meanie writes about his ordeal on his MySpace blog, and says he was told he had been diagnosed with Empyema. Meanie had been experiencing shortness of breath and flu-like symptoms and was hospitalized for treatment.
During his hospital stay, it was found that his lung was diseased and surgery was performed to remove the damaged tissue.
As always, Meanie is taking a positive outlook on things - and is already talking about making wrestling appearances again.
