Technology blu-ray

Do you think it'll become more popular than dvd? It seems to get more popular and have much bigger possibilities. Also ps3 games will use bd disks. Currently it's an expensive technology but in late 2007 25gb bd-r will cost the same as 4.7gb dvd-r now. Add 50mb/s and hdtv support. I think it'll be a huge success. But on the other hand dvds still are less popular than cds so.. Looks like technology is going too fast. People don't have time and money to buy new recorder, player,tv, game console, pc etc. every few years . Do you think that Blu-ray will become another standard in technology as cds and dvds now?

Something will eventually replace DVDs, but it might not be Blu-Ray. If you're thinking of buying a Blu-Ray player, I'd hold off until one of the new formats becomes widespread.

Fuck that. I'm not buying new blu-ray dvds. My dvd collection is huge.
