The song doesn't imply that Jews have been oppressed in the United States.

The white guy says, "We both have been mistreated, from United States to Egypt," meaning that Blacks have been mistreated in the US and the Jews in Egypt.

It wouldn't play past two minutes for me...but I didn't hear him say anything in regards to Jews being oppressed in the US. Did I miss that part?

all he said was "weve both been demeaned, enslaved, and mistreated."
you put your own negative spin on this rukas. as far as i heard unless i missed something, he says nothing about being currently oppressed in the united states.

Yeah, he's not talking about Jews being oppressed in the US, but what is BS about the song is its agenda. The fact is that on a whole host of issues the interests of Jews and blacks diverge, and there's nothing unusual or surprising about this. It's demeaning to both blacks and Jews to argue that each must automatically support the other's agenda in order to avoid antagonisms.

tru... these cats ae just trying to build a connection between American Jews and Afro-American Christians, i really dont see any point in this shit.

Jews have been oppressed and so have blacks.. ok so fuckin what, so have East Indians, and the Chinese, and a whole bunch of other ppl. Dont really see any point in this song other than a White Jewish kid who most likely just loves hiphop, and after receiving (bullshit) criticism for being a wigger or a wannabe, was inspired to do a track showing how much alike his ppl are to black ppl. Well if thats the case he missed the point that hiphop aint about color. And if thats not the point of the video then hes just a dumbass kid who thinks he's a rebel and is desparetly in need of a cause.

What pisses me off in the agenda part of things is his bastardization of MLK's quote. MLK's dream wasnt about little black kids holding hads with little Jewish kids, it was about all races holding hands together. When MLK said white he didnt mean Jewish, he meant ALL white people. I think using the quote in this song is disrespectful to what MLK stood for.

In regards to the "whats the difference, we've both been enslaved and mistreated, from the United States to Egypt" line is a collective because the Egyptians also had African slaves; whatever the the MCs name is is saying that they were mistreated together, and thus the way I understood it is that he is implying that the Jews have also been mistreated in the US. I mean from a song writers point of view, why directly mention Egypt and not Germany or WW2 in that regard? Because he is making a connection between Blacks and Jews TOGETHER and WW2 doesn't fit that agenda; Egypt and in his opinion the US do.

Id like to sit down and question this guy. Talking about being enslaved from the "period of the Pyramids to the twin towers," what the fuck? Was the Twin Towers and attack on Blacks and Jews? I must have missed the Osama video where he mentioned that one...

In my opinion the song has a lot of racist undertones against everybody that doesn't fit his Black and Jew label.

I agree with Rukas, this guy is trying to 'monpolise' suffering and is wallowing in melodrama of it. Twisting things to suit!

Maybe he's trying to make some money of it!

Alright, we all agree he's a misinformed wanker. Those exist.
But, I don't think the song has racist undertones in the sense that he's trying to be racist towards a, well, a race.
