I dedicate this one to Mr. Puffnscruff. Just recently we were debating news outlets and in his eyes CNN supports terrorism, Jon Stewart is for uneducated, college liberals, and MSNBC's Keith Olbermann is propaganda for the Leftists. In Puff eyes, Fox News is 733tz0rz. I dedicate this one to people such as him.

In this piece, Keith Olbermann exposes the cover-ups of Fox News, the lies of Bill O'Reilly and his arrogant unapologetic comments when he realizes he is wrong. This is not propaganda. This is documented all on video. This is just one instances by O'Reilly and Fox News.

i dont think you know what propaganda is

the funny thing is eric actually thinks this is "journalism"

lets look at the facts. oberman has had a hard on for orielly for almost 2 years now. it gets more pathetic as the days go by. no self respecting adult pays attention to obermans cries for attention and childish ways. they both have the same time slots. oberman brings in about 250,000-300,000 viewers a night while orielly does about 2.3 million on a night. yeah if i was desperate for rating on a show that hardly anybody watches on a major news network nobody tunes into i might do some desperate acts too i guess.

and for the record we werent debating anything. unless a debate is me making a valid point and is followed up by the other person, big easy, resorting to name calling and acting like an 8 year old.

It really doesnt matter how many viewers either of them get or who is obsessed with who, Olbermann is on point with this. O'reilly shouldnt even be on a news channel, it's more entertainment than anything.

George Bush. I rest my case.

Regardless of who's right, it's obvious that Bill O'Reilly is a piece of shit. He's also a danger to other Americans. He's a prime example of why the world hates America.

Ok, Bill got that story wrong. I never thought he was a historian or a very smart guy. And he shouldn't have tried to cover it. But Olbermann's got this attitude on that video like Bill hates US troops and will look for anything to besmirch their record. We all know the opposite is true and that Olbermann's viewpoint is the one that gets accused of not supporting the troops in Iraq. So now he jumps on this and acts all self righteous about these soldier's honor. The truth is every country's soldiers have committed atrocities during wars. War is an atrocity.

So both O'Reilly and Olbermann are ridiculous. And Wesley Clark is a wuss.

not that i hate you or anything... i dont actually... but in all of your post... you never answer to Eric's point which was that Billy makes up facts to win arguments and look intelligent while "educating" his audience, which is mostly consisted of uneducated fools, as opposed to college commies who watch the Daily show (i wonder which one is more intelectually advenced). That way, he does, in some way, doesn't matter if that's his purpose or not, brainwash his viewers who are actually watching him religiously, hence believing in everything he says.

And that attempt to correct O'Reilly's mistake by editing the transcript of the show, was fucking pathetic.

This is NOT journalism, you are right. But NBC owned O'Reilly on this one, because he did make a fool of himself, and please for your own good, don't try to deny the fact that Bill was REALLY wrong on this one. I'd go further and say that it was really disgusting and disrespectful to all those dead soldiers who fought against nazis and it was really STUPID to act as if you know more about war than a war general...

In my opinion, O'Reilly should get shot in the head, but I don't think that MSNBC is better. As a matter of fact all of the US news are biased.

quoootiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.:thumb:

And I think that you guys over in the states can't really argue with this, because you are not in the same position as us, foreigners... so you can't really know how we fell about you guys when we see a man like O'reilly. I'm not saying that you have no idea, but I'm just saying you can't absolutely know how we feel when we see an idiot like O'Reilly say some stupid shit like he always does.

Fox News is the most partial, non-journalistic news broadcast on American television.

CNN plays devil's advocate on things and tend to focus too much on the political ramifications of news rather than the news itself.

Jon Stewart is just funny.

If I watch the news, it's CNN or MSNBC. I watch Fox on election nights to get a good laugh.

That being said, I probably watch less than 5 hours of television a week, unless there are a bunch of good games on. I get all my news from the New York Times and the Washington Post. Television is garbage as far as "news" is concerned. They cater to a sixth grade audience.

I voted for Wesley Clark.

Anyway, Olberman blew this way out of proportion. So what if O'Reilly incorrectly got one example of American war crimes wrong?

There are war crimes in every war. The point O'Reilly was trying to make, that Abu Ghraib wasn't as bad as previous American war crimes, is still completely right. He got the analogy wrong. If he had used My Lai instead of Malmedy, Olberman would have had nothing to work with.

England has no idea how we feel about them when we see a guy like Oliver Cromwell. Germany has no idea how we feel about them when we see a guy like Adolf Hitler.

Judging a country of 300 million people by 1 is stupidity of epic proportions.

If you must know... Eric's vagina.

Been doing the Tar Heel thing, ya know. I'm either in class, at work, with my girlfriend, or watching basketball.

Message forums and AIM won't keep that 3.73 GPA up, ya know?

Went to Dook last weekend. Been sick all week. Coincidence?
