I have about two school projects where I need to make videos. I need really good video editing programs. My school has Imovie on their Macs. Those kind of programs. It would be appreciated. I don't need links for download, although it would be a plus. Also, if you guys know any programs that specialize in just special effects and adding cool stuff, that would be great help too. I will rep if you help.

a Mac?! hahaha
Those suck dick..but anyway, depends on the format. I've switched between Ulead VideoStudio 8, Virtual Dub and I can't remember the others. But as far as Mac compat., I'm not sure if they'll work on it

From talking with film majors at my school, they have told me that Final Cut Pro on the Mac is a common standard. As I understand it, Adobe Premiere is another good choice. A common complaint I've heard about Premiere is that is is incredibly slow as far as editors go. Adobe After Effects and Apple's Motion can be used for video effects. Take this for what it's worth...

You said something about macs, definitely FinalCut Pro or express. It's quite pricy though. For PCs, Adobe makes a program, but I don't remember its name.

hmm...I use moviemaker presently, but am upgrading to a mac with finalcut pro. Sorry, that doesnt help. Adobe Premiere is a good choice, Pinnacle Studio 8 is also a fairly good program to use for PCs. Hope that helps!
