Technology Best Games you have ever played?

It can be any console or PC.Mine would have to be:

Zelda:Links Awakening(Gameboy)-Ah the memories. One of the most enthralling games i have ever played. It took me a bout 3 years to complete(mainly because it took me a while to figure out that the genie's bottle on level 2 needed to be picked up with the power bracelet and smashed against the wall). The controls were so simple and the game itself was so vast. There was loads to do in it.I enjoyed the mini trading game that continued throughout the game as well.

Super Monaco GP(Sega Megadrive)-Ive played hundreds of racing games since but this is always my favourite.I loved the way you could work your way up to the top cars. They were awesome.but of course when you win the championship you automatically lose it the next year because their is no way of beating that Brazilian newcomer(Ciara is think his name was),who picks you as his rival. You could get within 20 seconds of him but no closer which was funny. If you were a lap behind him you could still catch up to him but never within 20 seconds. After losing twice you are sent back to shitty Dardan.Anyone remember this.More fond memories.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles(Sega Megadrive)):-Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles were both quality games but when you combined the two you got this huge adventure.Anyone know what the records are for amount of rings collected on a level in a sonic game?I remember playing as tails in this game and having 580 rings in the last level of Sonic 3.

Deus Ex:Invisible Wars(PC)-Another RPG type game that had be engrossed in it.The beauty in this one was that you could finish the game in a number of different ways which each decision you make during the course of the game having an effect on the final outcome.I loved this game.

Call Of Duty(PC):Great World War 2 simulation.A better game than the Medal Of Honor series imo.

Wolfenstein 3D:Return To Castle Wolfenstein(PC):probably my favorite first person shooter.Brought back memories of the original game. The graphics were awesome at the time.Another game i was hooked on.

Grand Theft Auto:Vice City(Various):My favorite of the series.

Pro Evolution Soccer series(Various):Best soccer games.Very realistic although im not really enjoying the latest one.

Championship Manager/Football Manager series(PC):I prefer the old Championship Manager series.I don't seem to enjoy the new Football manager games as much.Does anyone else think that the old ones were more difficult?I remember that you had to be spot on with your tactics, training and team selection or else you would lose no matter who you were.In the newer Football Manager games you can get away with playing players out of position. It doesn't seem as difficult anymore.

I agree with all those (though I preferred San Andreas to Vice City)

I'd also add:
GoldenEye on the N64. Probably number one on my list. I preferred it over Perfect Dark for some reason. Single player was great, but multiplayer was just perfect. It also helped that I was un-fucking-touchable at it.

Mario Kart on the N64. So much more fun that the likes of Gran Turismo or Project Gotham. I also liked Snowboard Kids and Diddy Kong Racing, but Mario Kart was the OG.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64. Such an enthralling game. IMO, the best Zelda game to date (let's hope Twilight Princess can knock it off it's perch, though)

Toejam & Earl on the MegaDrive. I'd play for hours with a friend of mine, and since you couldn't save the game we'd never get very far. It was fantastic though. Anyone who's going to buy a Wii should download it from the Virtual Console.

Road Rash on the MegaDrive. Classic, classic game. The gameplay was fantastic and the little cut-scenes between races always made me laugh. What's more fun that being chased by a police officer on a bike, and pushing him into oncoming traffic?

You don't like the new Pro Evo? I thought its great...though took awhile to get used too.

I'd add San Andreas, wasn't a big fan of Vice City.

I remember playing against three of my friends, 3 vs. 1. They would inevitably end up running around, accidentally killing each other and then respawning in the vents knowing that I'd filled the room below with proximity mines. They ended up with a score of like -21, it was pitiful.

Yes yes yes! TJ & E is a god-like game. You never completed it? I've finished that game hundreds of times, it is hard though. Please tell me you at least went to "Level Zero" and jumped in the bath with the Hawaian chicks.

TJ&E 2 rocks as well. I have a Genesis/Mega Drive emulator on my PC that allows you to play online, I've been playing Toejam and Earl online with my cousin.

oh, and to be on topic - Shenmue is the greatest game ever made.

SNES - Super Mario World, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bubble Blast
N64 - Golden Eye, Super Mario 64, Zelda, Resident Evil
PS2 - GTA Series, Gran Turismo
Xbox - GTA Series (San Andreas preferably), NFS Series: Most Wanted, NHL 2K6, Godfather
Xbox 360 - Saint's Row, NFS: Carbon, Fifa 07

I was absolutely obsessed with San Andreas at one point in life. Currently, I'm just non-stop killing people online on Saint's Row. I can't wait until GTA 4 comes out...in like fucking a year!! October 07 babby!

hahahaha

i used to put the mines up in the vent normally but yeah. you know, my n64 is in the closet next to me, i'm so tempted to take it out which i will.

other games that i used to play, in chronological order:

snes
- super mario world
- f1 zero
- zelda: a link to the past (never finished it though, that's something i've done since however)
- donkey kong country 1
- super mario world 2: yoshi's story (this one was cute, but sorta gay, nevertheless, i finished it)
- uniracer (one of the coolest games for the snes like ever, not one of the dearest ones though)

---------------------

was typing up a whole list for all consoles and then i realized fuck it, so i listed the snes games i used to love. there was more though, these are just the ones on top of my head. there was a soccer game, usa wc '98 something something it was called, i think.
