Riquelme is a lot like Veron isnt he.Extremely skillful and great technique with great vision and passing.Like Veron though he lacks pace.I think great players need that bit of pace.Ronaldinho has it as did Maradona.

Nah, Verons a traditional Argentina no.5 whereas Riquelme is a number 10. Veron sits much deeper, almost infront of the defence whereas Riquelme plays in the whole, i think he does lack the pace to be a great though.
For me, the most influential players have been Henry, Ronnie and Riquelme in that order.
Veron plays deeper now.He didnt always play in that position.At Sampdoria,Parma,Lazio and United he always played an attacking role,then Argentina started playing him deeper.
