Yet another wrong naming of the sport by Americans. Although you are running on the bases and hitting the ball, you mostly using the bat to hit the baseball. As gay as it sounds, it should really be called batball.

With that in mind, Yankees can't play batball.

Yankees pitcher Hughes is injured so he is on DL. Anybody cares to know how did he injured himself?

Dude broke his rib coughing. You get injured by coughing? You dont get more bizarre than this.

Someone baseball heads will have the nerve to say baseball players are indeed athletes.

your english is horrible bach... i would try to respond, but i would probably talk about something else and offend you so i wont say anything.. all except you couldnt hit a ball coming at you at 90 mph... i put my life on it..

anyway, it seems as if the NL might have recaptured its dominance this year... more nl teams have better records than al teams.. and yeah, it might be early and we'll have to wait until interleague play, but man... this looks good

Ok...

I said New York Yankees right handed pitcher, Phillip Hughes, injured himself and he is put on a disable list.

The media says he injured himself by coughing and broke his rib. That is how he got injured.

I then gave my opinion and said if an athlete breaks his back by coughing, then that athlete is not a real athlete. Meaning, I've never heard such bizarre story in sports that someone got injured by coughing.

I then again went on to say some baseball heads will still have the nerve to say baseball players are indeed real athletes. Implying that they are not in my opinion compared to other athletes in other sports.

Prove it otherwise or prove me wrong.

When you learn how to speak my native language, then I'll bow down to you. Until then, I wouldn't complain about other peoples English. You either like the way I write because it is not that bad to understand, or you just don't respond to me at all.

*claps uncontrollably* that was a hell of a lot better... i now know what you're talking about

sammy sosa sneezed and pulled a back muscle and was out for weeks if not months.. that happened in 2004.... phillip hughes is the yankees' top prospect, or was... to say he's not a baseball player or athlete at this point is straight up ignorant.. he had a no-hitter through 5 innings in his major-league debut and pitched decently until this season where he fell apart at times... i'm not even sure what you're point is after the whole "he's not an athlete" shit... he is an athlete and getting injured is part of being an athlete... are you saying he's not one??

actually, speaking proper english didnt help your case... rib... back.. two different things.. you break a rib, you can live.. you break your back you might not... which is it? read the newspaper... he didnt break a rib, he fractured it.. a strained oblique... this has nothing to do with english, we've moved on to medical terms which are universal and you still havent managed to state the correct injury.. you dont need to be a doctor, you just need to have the reading skills of a 3rd grader..

if you're a yanks fan and angry, that's fine... but you need to know the history of the yanks and not just be a bandwagon fan when they win... to be a fan for the 3 years you've been in america doesn't qualify you a baseball expert let alone a yankees fan... shut up and put up.. i'll be damned if you could do half the shit a-rod could do with a strained quad...

Thanks for bringing that up because it only helps my case arguing that baseball players aren't real athletes because they break backs/ribs by coughing/sneezing. So thats another example - thank you very much.

Are you implying that since he is a top prospect (don't even know how accurate your info is here but..) that gives him an excuse to sneeze and break his back/rib? And therefore I should give him a break? If thats not what you are implying than I have no clue what you're trying to say.

he had a no-hitter through 5 innings in his major-league debut and pitched decently until this season where he fell apart at times...
I had a cup of tea this morning.

I have no idea what that has to do with what I'm saying.

Irrelevant.

he is an athlete and getting injured is part of being an athlete...
Captain obvious,

No, getting injured by coughing is not part of being athlete. No.

This is random and worthless.

I can care less if I got the name of the injury wrong. You got the point.

to be a fan for the 3 years you've been in america doesn't qualify you a baseball expert let alone a yankees fan...
You're again wrong with your assumptions.

Your obsession with me as to how long I've been in U.S. and where do I live and what I do needs to stop.

i'll be damned if you could do half the shit a-rod could do with a strained quad...
Never said I could.
