backpackers, runaways, and bumbs (basically drifters)

A) It should be a day where the law requires jobs hiring not to require a place of residency from a job seeker. This way bumbs can get some footing in society to prosper instead of being called lazy by ppl who choose not to understand them and instead of being forced into panhandling which the ppl dont like.

B) It should be a day where there are city maintained public shower buildings that hold free soap and free lotion. Tired of dirty/smelly ppl who you can tell live on the street that could help themselves if they only had a certain place to clean up at.

C) It should be a day where certian particular foods (fruit related) are free and are grown by some specific vines and trees placed throughout each city to be picked by anyone passing by that is hungry.

Why in this day and age isnt this a reality? Society should make it so ppl can live life as a drifter if they choose to. Then ppl may be free from the grip of having to be paying property taxes and free from living so confined and restricted. Ppl would be able to move along as they feel from location to location. Wouldn't it be so so hip? Then anyone could go into hiding if they feel they should for whatever reason (like self-defense). This would be as an alternative to somehow freeing up land areas from the current government just for a shot to live on one's own terms and provide for oneself. Who'd pay for it? Tax payers who all should put in to help the less fortunate.

Next time anybody plant a tree it better be one that bares some kind of eatable food to benefit the drifters of society.

Anyhow, get whoever in power to put in place A, B, and C. Do your part by e-mailing this to as many as you can. Or link em to this post so they can read it and help bring it into reality.

Imagine life without having to pay for a house or rent an apartment. As a drifter, that is working of course, you'd be able to save up major mula for whatever whenever in your journey. Without a place of residence who could find you to serve you a court order? No one! You'd be involved in untouchable living.

Haha, nobody says they want to be a drifter when they grow up. But it may just end up happening for whatever reason. You never know if you have to become one some day so lets get what I propose into reality through the proper channels.

Right now to go into hiding is hard because you have to know somebody down for you so that you can stay with them at their place till things cool off. And we all know not in all cases do things cool off.

The right to bare arms?! I present you with the ideal resources to drift! Just put them into reality to live the modern american dream.

As a drifter you dont have to worry about getting paid much from a job, you know? Because aint like you need all the money to rent out an apartment/house. I tell you, it would be fun being a drifter cause you get to camp out and get closer to living how they did a long time ago.

there is a place in central flroida being built that is a place for homeless to live. they get brand new housing, plenty of food, and all types of other great things. must be nice to be a bum

if people feel they want to live their life like jack kerouac then they should do so. but they need to accept the responsibilites that come with that and pay their own way to do so. the govt and tax payers should not be the ones who flip the bill.

i have lived in a few cities where homeless are all over. orlando had a crazy amount of homeless. i couldn't walk to school without passing at least one. i would get hit up for moeny all the time going to get groceries. sometimes if i had a few bills i would give someone 5 or ten bucks. one time i was going to get a guy a turkey sub but when i came out he was walking away with two big bags full of chips, bread, soda, juice, meat, and a few other stuff. funny part was he was walking towards a really nice sub-division across from where i lived right off of the highway.

there are some people who are homeless that have had bad luck. but most of them have problems that include mental health issues and addiction. but if they don't put an effort into getting better then they are just going to keep on staying where they are at in life.

there are places that will help homeless get a job. they can put down the shelter they stay at as their residence. but if they don't follow the rules of the shelter they will be back on the street.

how would you enforce laws on these people? you said untouchable living, so do you really believe a select few should be "untouchable"? what if one of them goes crazy and kills a bunch of people, i guess the state can eat the court orders.

furthermore, why should someone who doesn't work or pay taxes ever get to benefit from my tax money? it doesnt make sense. i pay taxes so i have roads to drive on and health care, not so bums can have free land. they can work and save up money for that themselves.somehow, that's what i think.

I'd LOVE for you to try to live as a drifter. I can guarantee you it wouldn't last long. I'd much rather sleep in a comfy bed with a roof over my head and a lock on my door, than wander the streets looking for somewhere to sleep. And what's the point in saving money if you don't have anywhere to put the stuff you buy with it? And if you're earning "major mula" (sic), why should the government be giving you FREE FRUIT? And why should they build you a place to shower? If I have to pay to have a shower installed in my house, why should I also pay to have a shower installed in the middle of the town centre for other people to use?

The only part I agree with is employers being more open to hiring homeless people, but there are already systems in place to help homeless people get jobs.

The bottom line is this; if you CHOOSE to live as a "drifter", if you choose not to buy/rent a place to live, you can't expect the government to provide anything for you.

I do agree with more governmental action to help people that have become homeless to regain their foothold in society, but it's ludicrous to support it as a conscious life choice.

It's like me cutting my legs off as a life choice and then whine about a lack of wheelchair accessible buildings.

i don't hang out with bums or anything, but once my teacher told me he knew this bum. this bum got this job where they told him to get a shower. the bum quit. why? not because he did not have any accessible showers, only because when you are dirty, all the dirty creates an extra layer on your skin which makes you more warm when its cold.

also i know we have here somewhere a mailbox that all bums can use as an address when they get a job. maybe other cities and towns should get that too.

and i wouldn't pay for them. they don't pay tax so they can fuck off.
