Dunno where the rest of the article went but heres whats left...

The anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan was arrested yesterday after she and hundreds of others demonstrated outside the White House.

Mrs Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, was among the first protesters to be arrested after about 200 of them sat in circles on the pavement outside the White House, close to Lafayette Park, in a act designed to provoke the police to act. The demonstrators, who had earlier swarmed around Mrs Sheehan in support, booed the police as they took protesters away and chanted: "The whole world's watching."

Anyways...I found it quite interesting since they were arrested for "demonstrating without a permit" - doesnt the Consititution kinda say we have the right to assemble/protest/"demonstrate?"

What I find interesting is the fact that it takes something dear to you to die in order to see realization. The outcome of war has always been death. How can people be so naive.

her group or organization or whatever it is, met with the parks department i think it was, about protesting in front of the white house. sheehans group met with them 3 times this past summer. one of the people they met with was being interviewed after this happend and said they told her group if they dont have a permit they will get arrested. sheehans group was told this on three seperate meetings. this offical being interviewed said there reply was " we know, we want to be arrested".

look at the smile on her face. she wanted this. more than anything. it is sick how much of a hyprocrite this bitch is. she is now using her sons image her name to make money for her self. if you want to hear her bullshit anti america hyprocritical speaches you now have to pay her money. her whole family hates what she is doing. if she didnt have fat man moores dick up her ass she wouldnt be getting any attention at all.

exactly...i commend her for standing up for what's right, but she's only doing it cuz she lost a son. i bet before that she didn't care how many other people lost children, as long as her son was healthy and over there killing

Cuz it's a selfish way to look at life. Granted thats how most people's mentality is, but that doesn't make it right/good.

like Limn said, it's selfish. if you're gonna protest a war, do it from the start, not just when you lose someone. basically, that is saying, the war is right as long as my child doesn't die, but i don't care if anyone else does.

this bitch was protesting mainly because she feels she deserves a chance to speak with president bush about her son being killed in iraw. the problem is she forgets that she already had met the president in '04. after all the shit this woman has said about the president, the presidents family, do you think she deserves or should get her 2nd meeting with the president? should he even give her the chance to scream in his face in front of cameras?

imo, i dont think she should. she already had her chance, if she felt the same way then that she does now then she should have said something to him when she had the chance.
