Technology Anyone here use Napster?

I cannot convince my mother to download illegally. I was hooking up her new computer yesterday and she wants to download music. From what I've read up on, Napster has the best deal. However, maybe you could help me with this little part:

Only $9.95 a month

· Listen to your choice of over 1,000,000 songs as often as you want
· Download an unlimited amount of music to listen to offline*
· Keep all the music you download for as long as you want to
be a Member
· Enjoy 50+ commercial-free, interactive radio stations or
create your own
· Download music from over 50 years of Billboard Charts
· Purchase music to keep forever, burn to CD or transfer
to a compatible player for as low as 80¢ a song

What's in bold is what I don't understand. Are they saying along with the fee I'm paying to download music, I'm also paying a fee to keep music forever? If so, there's got to be a way around that.

If she is that concerned about it not being illegal, she probably should just buy the CDs. I still use free downloading programs, after all, I only download a song every now and again - things that I wouldn't purchase anyway, so ultimately no-one is losing out.

Limewire Pro isn't a legal filesharing program and, as such, buying Limewire Pro is pointless. None of the money you pay for Limewire Pro goes to the record companies or the artists.
