Do you think he resigns with Washington though? sounds like he wants to stay, but they said on ESPN that the players' union will pressure him to take the biggest contract he can get, which probably won't come from Washington.
I hope he does. I think they notice that without Soriano no one would come to watch them play, at all. They can build around him, and I think that's what they are going to try and focus on from now. They now know once the season is over, teams are going to be in the hunt for him. Soriano has said he wants to stay, and during the past few days, when the deadline got closer, his number slipped a bit. So I think he was being truthful in saying he wants to stay.
I was holding my breath this past weekend, If Soriano and Tejada got traded, there would be no point to watch a Orioles and Nats game, all I would have to focus on is the Skins...during Training camp
