Man, how crazy is Adobe? I just noticed they bought out Macromedia's Dreamweaver.

A couple years back they bought out Cool Edit which was the leading "wannabe" music app, and while it still cant touch Logic, Cubase or the <biased>mighty</biased> Pro Tools I hear it is improving.

Premiere is a dope video editing application. After Effects is becoming the standard in special effects. And of course Photoshop kicks ass so much no other image editor is relevant.

Are these guys trying to take over the world or what? They're just buying up software in an effort to own every creative application possible.

What is next? A 3D editor? Actually makes sense considering all the appz can talk to one another and it would fit into Photoshop and After Effects well.

So here is my question. I dont know anyone that's actually bought an Adobe product, yet everyone has one installed. So where do they get all their money from? Damn.

Well web graphic schools buy licenses, most web graphic designers buy their licenses. There are people buying Adobe products and since they have Photoshop which is the best program for graphics in the industry, they obviously make a lot of money with it. They will make a lot of of money as well with Dreamweaver as well. It's money well invested.

Lol Adobe bought out Macromedia in 2005. How have you not noticed the adobe flash and adobe shockwave auto updates?

But yeah, legit businesses and organisations pay for the licensed software, the software isnt cheap, like $400. You legally need a license for each computer it is installed on, and its never normally just installed on one in a business enviroment. Then think how many companys out there are using their products. Then you get a new version every couple of years or less, more licenses sold, more $$$$$$$$$.

I don't know, they used to give away Adobe products with licenses for free to our students.
Also people who work using Adobe products need to have original ones. I guess most of their income comes from companies.

Anyway, Adobe is taking over the world, you watch and see.
