me being a cubs fan, i dont have a whole lot to say.... i do have higher expectations with a 300 mill payroll.... if this doesnt work, i think i'll quit my full time job as a cubs fan and just start aimlessly rooting for the royals...

Hmmmm Cubs success depends on if Derrek Lee can return to his form, and if the rotation can hold up behind Zambrano..

I'm lookin forward to seein how the Twins do without Francisco Llriano in their lineup, i'm a huge Twins fan and i think they got the best talent out of any team in the league by far. If Francisco wasn't hurt, they'd be a shoo in for the ALCS, but we'll see now.

Cardinals

but i never cheer for any other team :D
Twins and Cardinals are my favorite teams, been a Cardinals fan since the McGwire days...

Hopefully their rotation can hold up this year and Mulder is a lil more consistent, If Jim Edmonds regains his hitting stroke, Cardinals offense will be powerful again

I wouldn't even bother to watch what gay-rod will do in the beginning. Not until the playoffs come.Even in playoffs,I'll probably not watch him. What there to watch?I don't know why people would still have a hope in him.Guys is a disgrace.Nothing but a waste of air.

Yankees, i had to look at their rosters just now because i haven't been following what they did this offseason. The only decent move that they've made so far besides letting Johnson go,yes he was a choke in stripes, picking up Andy Pettitte.Thats great. But thats it.If season was to start today with current roster, they wouldn't go nowhere.I''ve been preaching and preaching for past few years now and i've been saying without solid pitching,Yankees will not win *World Series. Its the same story,They'll defiantly end up loosing before even getting to the WS.

here, im just gonna ignore bach's ignorant posts.... and go straight to the twins

yeah, they def. have talent, and young talent at that.... its sad to see liriano go that way, but honestly, what overnight phenom has had an amazing year, rookie year, and then continued to have amazing seasons after taht?? i can only think of albert pujols that has never had a bad season... in fact, hes never had an above average season... he's always been mvp caliber the past.... 5 or 6 years...

and yes, the cubs do need lee's 2005 form... big z has yet to be a letdown.. the rest of the pitching staff... not so much... they're gonna be a wait and see... i dont think the bullpen was that bad though...

and hitting.. soriano and lee are just gonna be powerhouses.. ramirez too, but then agian, he could hit slumps from time to time... still... best 3B out there alongside a-rod and rolen... and i like how we have some depth in our OF... the IF too for that tmatter... if derosa has a season like he did last year, if izturis can come to his old form... man.. it's alotta what if's for the cubs... if it falls into place though... its gonna be one hell of a ride

how can you think the twins have improved this season???

they lose liriano, radke retires, the hitting lineup will stay as potent as it was before, which wasnt very potent, but it did the job.... what about the tigers? does sheff mean something?

and the A's will either win their division or the wild card...

and my cubbies will the nl central :p

This divison is going to be an absolute toss up, every team in the AL Central got better except for maybe the Twins, but they really didn't get worse i would say.

I believe Twins will get 1st, but as you listed the Indians, Tigers, and White Sox... thats where the toss up will be, any one of those teams could be 2nd its gonna be interesting to watch this division this year
