Seriously, its hard to pick the NBA MVP this year. You can give it to Nowitzki, Nash, Billups, James, Kobe, Marion, Gasol, Brand. Its hard to pick who will get the award. Who would you give it the award to?

I gotta go with Kobe. 35 ppg. 62 points in 3 quarters outscoring the whole Dallas Mavs team. 81 :horny: points against Toronto. I know that his team's record will count against him but when you think about it. The scrubs finally started playing with some balls and the Lakers have had a pretty good past 2 months. Had Odom and Brown picked it up earlier, we would have clinched a playoff spot much earlier. Kobe single handidly got this team in the playoffs.

So who you got?

Kobe will win it, and thats hard for me to say, because id rather see the heat win it all, then see kobe get the mvp. and believe me, i RILLY don want to see the heat win the championship

Has to be Kobe, because he broke three long-standing franchise records, becomes only the fifth player in NBA history to average 35+ in a season (guess the other four), hasn't missed a game this season, and has done more with less as compared to LeBron, Nash, and especially Billups. All three have better talent around them, especially Chauncey Billups, who does Kobe have? You can't rely on Kwame or Odom every game, Nash has Diaw & Marion every game, and Chauncey isn't even the best player on his team.

You cannot deny how amazing Kobe's season has been, and if it was any other player on any other team with this kind of season, it would be a shoe-in to win. Fact right there.

Hands down Kobe Bryant, the fact that people argue this is unbelievable.

I just want to see the Lakers make the second round, Kwane and Odom steppin up and the teams is playin good, I think they can do it.

I agree that it's hard this year, but I wouldn't count Marion, Gasol and Brand in, they had great seasons but in my opinion those aren't MVPs. It really comes down to James, Dirk, Kobe, and Nash and seriously, I'd give it to Dirk, can't believe noone mentioned him here yet. He's the biggest matchup problem in the league right now, seriously. Haven't you seen the Spurs-Mavs matchup? How helpless did the champ look like? Runnin 2 defenders at Dirk when he had the ball on the top, that was incredible...cause I never seen this before.....that a Center comes all the way from the paint to double a dude out there almost on the 3 point line.......Duncan tried to defend him one on one later on and got school and peeps, Tim Duncan is a former MVP. And to everyone that's tryin to tell me how much support Dirk has, listen folks, he's the only allstar on this roster aiight, think about it. What support you're talkin about? He's the man in Dallas, everybody feeds off him. Dampier? Diop? Mbenga? Harris? Armstong? Griffin? Daniels? Is that the support you talk about? Really, Howard can step up, Terry too and Stack always can hit a couple of jumpshots but who is the reason for 60 wins? There is no other Allstar on Dirk's side, give him credit God damn it.

I might add that it's hard this year, it really is and if they make Nash or James MVP I can live with it, I just couldn't believe noone in ehre really mentioned Dirk as a serious candidate so I had to make this post.

Btw, ya all love Kobe, but he won't be MVP this season, mark my words.

He may not be MVP. People dont like him. If LeBron was having a season like Kobe he would be praised. But since it's Kobe it aint gonna happen. but then if Kobe or about 6 other players get MVP this season I think it wont be bad. Usually there is a clear winner or about two maybe three people that an win but this year is crazy, like 7 different players can win and it would be justified.

Exactly, I've said it before. If it was ANY player but Kobe, on ANY team but the Lakers, having Kobe's kind of season, there wouldn't even be a debate. 100% of the vote.

Give him his props! Anything off the basketball court is "off the basketball court"; judge him for that accordingly.

But ON THE COURT, this season is one for the ages.

Man Steve Nash should win. Look at how good he made the Phoenix team!! Kobe's a ball hog, he doesnt get the other members of his team involved in the game n all! Grr and hes not a real good person either! When they were playing the Kings he didnt evn shake Ron artest's hand or nething cuz he kicked his butt the last time they played!
