Atlantic Division: seems to have some competition now, I expect NJ to win the division, they usually pull off a pretty good record. They also have VC and RJ is healthy. Not to mention probably the best passer in the game, Jason Kidd. NY could be good; however, expectations are high, I don't expect them to be too good. Philly could be a sleeper, like always.
Central Division: I expect Indy to have one the of the best records in the league; however, I expect them also to get another injury or something in the book, the team is just plain unlucky. I expect the same from Detroit, except not as good, teams have them more figured out and Flip is a Rick Adelman coach, wins season games, fails in the playoffs. Clevland should be really interesting (Meaning they could be very good), and Chicago should be one of more entertaining teams to watch. Milwaukee is tough one, they should pull something off with this roster they have now.
Southwest: I expect Miami to win their division, although their division is probably the weakest overall in the entire NBA. Miami has made the best offseason moves, I expect them to start slowly, and at one point in the season go for a huge win streak. Not much to say about the rest of the teams in my opinion, Orlando/Washington could make one of the lower seeds in the playoffs.
West
Southwest Division: S.A should take the division, enough said about them. I expect van gundy's Rockets to be very good, and a possible threat to the champs. Dallas, is an annoying team, that acomplishes the same thing every year, they will probably be in the middle seeds, 6,5,4 maybe worse, if they do better, good for them they wont win anything. Memphis, they are consistant under West, but expect them to not get in the playoffs this season. N.0. may be the worst team in the NBA, so they will probably achieve more then people expect them too.
Northwest: George Karl can get his teams to win over 60 games, don't be suprised if this team has the best, yes the best record in the NBA. Again, it won't mean anything because they won't be the best team in the NBA and loose in the playoffs. Seattle, tough one, over accomplished last season, may not do as good but who knows. Minny is probably the toughest prediction in the NBA, I really have no clue what to expect, but I don't expect what they did 2 years ago. Utah is my biggest sleeper in the NBA, they have in my opinion probably one of the best defensive players in the NBA, and a great coach... they can win over 50 games. Portland... is under construction.
Pacific: Interesting Division, practically anyone from this division can win in my opinion. Sac/LAL are not as strong as they were before, Pheonix in my eyes was never that good, and I expect them to slow down a bit. SAC has an awesome passing team every year, with that they win season games, I don't expect them to get past the 1st round with this roster. LAL is very interesting... most successful coach, with a similar squad to last years... Well last year's squad with Rudy T (coaching the whole year) would have probably won up and around 42-45 games, triangle was put in midway through the season, I honest expect this team to win around 50 games. Clipps/Golden State, very promising, who knows what these teams can do, its scary that they are actually a threat.\
Oh and if there is no injuries S.A will win the championship. If not it could be several teams, if S.A gets unlucky my favorite is probably Miami.
