Im still hesitating to say the resilliancy of the human body is amazing, well it is already but this is just crazy. Genes mutating so we are immune to HIV? Amazing, even though it was the bubonic plague but still, no doubt we are something special.
So i'm wondering when we will use this for a cure, or if we can and how, like someone said a shot at birth.

thats crazy i just read this last night after researching aids...i came across this same article posted on a WHITE NATIONALIST site called stormfront.org ....is that where you got this from?? because i was also reading that that actual study is wrong because AIDS in fact is affecting more and more people in russia now then before

According to a recently released study from Rand Corporation and Oregon State University, nearly half of the 500 African-Americans surveyed believe that HIV, the virus that can lead to AIDS, is a man-made virus, created to wipe out African-Americans, and that the government has knowledge of this.
Despite no evidence available to support this theory, many Howard students agree.
"I think it was manufactured by a group and seeing that it has become so rampant in Africa, then it was probably made to kill them," said Cedric Coare, a freshman public relations major.
Others, like freshman journalism major Tiffany Jones believe the government did not create AIDS, but is failing to do all it can to prevent the spread of the disease.
"I believe that the government did not start AIDS but they can control it and refuse to," she said. "I believe that they do have a cure for AIDS but they will not give it to everyone, especially the poor."
Officials who worked on the study could not be reached at press time. But in remarks made in other publications, some officials said they were not surprised by the study's findings.
"As a researcher, knowing that these beliefs were out there, I wasn't as surprised as people I share the study with," said Laura Bogart to the Washington Post. Bogart co-authored the study and is a behavioral scientist for Rand Corporation. "...the findings are striking and a wake-up call to the prevention community," Bogart added.
Dr. Ernest Quimby, an associate professor for the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Howard University said that even though African-Americans have not seen evidence to support this new AIDS theory, it is probably such a strong belief because of past incidents. "There are different reasons why there is suspicion and this goes back to history and the relationship with African-Americans and the government," Quimby said.
"There has been documentation that the health of African-Americans has been neglected by the government and that they have been subjected to maltreatment. A prime example is the study held by Tuskegee University where African-American males were unknowingly exposed to syphilis by the federal government.

Dr. Alan Cantwell, author of AIDS and the Doctors of Death: An Inquiry into the Origin of the AIDS Epidemic and Queer Blood: The Secret AIDS Genocide Plot, believes that HIV is a genetically modified organism developed by US Government scientists; that it was introduced into the population through hepatitis B experiments performed on gay and bisexual men between 1978-1981 in Manhattan, Los Angeles, San Francisco, St. Louis, Denver, and Chicago (these experiments were directed by Dr. Wolf Szmuness); and that there is an ongoing government and media cover-up regarding the origin of the AIDS epidemic. Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz, author of Emerging Viruses: AIDS & Ebola. Nature, Accident or Intentional? and Death in the Air: Globalism, Terrorism and Toxic Warfare, has advanced the theory that the AIDS virus was engineered by such US Government defense contractors as Litton Bionetics for the purposes of bio-warfare and "population control." Dr. Horowitz believes that Jews, blacks, and hispanics are prime targets in these attempts at "population control." He cites the historical preoccupation with eugenics on the part of the American medical establishment as evidence of a greater conspiracy to commit genocide.
Jakob Segal, a biology professor at Humboldt University in the former East Germany, believes that HIV was engineered at a US military laboratory in Fort Detrick, Maryland by splicing together two other viruses, Visna and HTLV-1. According to his theory, the new virus, created between 1977 and 1978, was tested on prison inmates who had volunteered for the experiment in exchange for early release. It was through these prisoners that the virus was spread to the population at large, starting with the gay community. Segal has been accused of being a Soviet disinformation agent.
Some conspiracy theories on the origins of AIDS carry anti-Semitic overtones. Some African-Americans in the US believe that HIV was invented by Jews as a way to destroy the black race. Such theories have been propagated for years, first by Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam, and by the New Black Panther Party, as well as by a number of professors in various small colleges. Conspiracy theorist Steve Cokely has made allegations that Jewish doctors have injected black babies with HIV.
Some conspiracy theorists believe the claim that AIDS was created by scientists to be false and to have originated from a communist Cold War plot to destabilize the Western world. They believe this claim was originally disseminated in the West by KGB agents seeking to undermine the faith of citizens in their own government (see: propaganda, disinformation). Mikhail Gorbachev once purportedly said that he felt sorry the KGB had planted and actively supported such stories in the Western world.
On the other hand, the US Government has an established history of performing atrocious experiments on its own citizens without their knowledge or consent. Between 1932 and 1972, the United States Public Health Service conducted a covert experiment called the Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male. In this experiment, the Public Health Service deliberately deprived black, syphilis-infected residents of Tuskegee, Alabama of treatment in order to see what would happen to them. Between 1953 and 1972, the CIA conducted secret experiments on unwitting human subjects under the umbrella of project MK Ultra. The full nature and scope of these experiments may never be known, since most of the records on MK Ultra were deliberately destroyed by the CIA in 1972. What is known, however, is that some of these experiments involved: electro-shock treatment, sensory deprivation, sleep deprivation, administration of psychoactive drugs, psychosurgery, the effects of radiation, the testing of chemical and biological weapons on American city streets, "brainwashing" and "mind control", interrogation and torture techniques. The US Army has admitted to conducting similar experiments.
Whether the conpiracy theories are valid or not, it is certain is that the military-industrial complex has an interest in the development of biological weapons that can target genetically similar groups of people. From the September 2000 white paper Rebuilding America's Defenses, published by the Project for the New American Century, comes the statement: "[...]advanced forms of biological warfare that can "target" specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool."

I wouldn't be suprised if some of those theories were true though, because I know that when the European traders were first coming to North America back in the 18th century, it's been documented that they were deliberatly trying to spread the smallpox disease into the Native communities by purposely trading infected blacket with the disease to the Natives. This led to wide spread genocide of the Aboriginal communities.

anyways, AIDS isn't spreading in Russia as fast as other countries
